Point Blank had been using the same over-sized 64-page product catalog since 2002. It was not only out-of-date but was also very expensive to produce.
The task: Create a more focused, inexpensive series of brochures featuring only the newest products and accessories. We planned one for concealable body armor, one for tactical, and a hybrid.
An updated design and new photography was needed. We decided to use strong blues and reds, like police lights. Blue was designated as the concealable color, and red for tactical. Gels were used over the studio lights to accomplish this. The products and models were clipped and the backgrounds replaced. I had a lot of fun experimenting with dramatic lighting on this project.
New Vision and Hi-Lite2 body armor were featured, both of which were not branded per se but did get the unique logo treatment.
I worked with Coral Gables (Florida) Police Department to model the products.
